In accordance with Decision No. 3314/QĐ-UBND, dated July 4, 2022, issued by the People’s Committee of Tam Binh District regarding the coordination in surveying, evaluating, and establishing the Tam Binh king orange production area, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tam Binh District collaborated with Koina Distribution Joint Stock Company (hereinafter referred to as "Koina") to hold a meeting on the afternoon of July 8, 2022. The meeting focused on the application of technology in management, distribution, and improving the efficiency of king orange production. Attending the meeting were Mr. Vo Duy Phu – Koina’s Business Director, representatives from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and agricultural officers from various communes in Tam Binh District, Vinh Long Province.

With the goal of supporting farmers in transforming agricultural practices and enhancing land productivity through technology applications, Koina is committed to creating sustainable benefits for Vietnam's agricultural sector. The company aims to bring fresh, clean produce to consumers at stable and reasonable prices. Koina has established a direct purchasing team at local farms, buying king oranges at market prices, with a daily procurement volume of 50 tons. By the end of 2022, the company planned to increase this volume to 100 tons per day.

Recently, Koina collaborated with the Tam Binh District People's Committee to establish a task force dedicated to digitizing and developing the king orange production area. This initiative lays the foundation for traceability and the creation of planting area codes, positioning Tam Binh on the agricultural map.

Building a connected and advanced farming community, implementing activities to build local farmer communities. Creating a platform for farmers to share information and knowledge.

In the near future, Koina will collaborate with the Southern Fruit Tree Institute to analyze soil and water and develop a set of standards for cultivating Thanh Binh oranges, aiming to improve quality and brand value for Thanh Binh oranges.

The attendees of the meeting were very impressed with the initiatives being implemented. The digitization of the growing area provides a foundation for the local community to manage and develop production plans to advise farmers. Farmers are provided with information about agricultural product prices and expected yields to guide appropriate production.
